Festive Makeup That Survives a Whole Function

Primer, thin layers, and blotting instead of repowdering — how to still look done at midnight.
Long functions are a humidity test. Makeup fails in predictable ways, and each one has a fix.
Base
Primer where you get oily, then two thin layers of foundation rather than one thick one. Set only the T-zone.
Eyes
Cream base under shadow, waterproof mascara, and kajal that is set with a matching powder shadow so it does not travel.
Lips
Line the whole lip, fill with a matte, blot, and reapply once. Skip gloss if you will be eating.
Carry blotting paper, not powder. Powder on top of powder at 11 pm is what makes makeup look heavy in photographs.
